In 1946 J.H. Parrish founded Parrish Tire Company as a one location retail and commercial tire store in Winston Salem N.C. Today the company remains family owned and operated and has retail stores, commercial truck tire centers and Bandag retread plants in North Carolina and Ohio. In addition Parrish Tire Company operates wholesale distribution warehouses in North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio and Georgia.

As the company was founded in 1946 by Mr. Parrish to serve the people of Winston Salem, today the ideals of Parrish's approximately 300 employees remain the same as they serve the Eastern U.S. through the company’s retail and commercial facilities and much of the world through its wholesale distribution network. .
